South Main Street/Milnwood Road Intersection Improvements Project Town of Farmville Willingness to Hold a Public Hearing
Find out about the proposed intersection improvements at the intersection of South Main Street and Milnwood Road in the Town of Farmville. The project consists of the widening of South Main Street (Business 15) to provide additional turn lanes at its intersection with Milnwood Road. The project will include the construction of new intersection roadway, traffic signal reconstruction, and construction of ADA-compliant crosswalks, sidewalks, curb cuts, and pedestrian indications.

If your concerns cannot be satisfied, the Town is willing to hold a public hearing. You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Gerald Spates, Town Manager, 116 North Main Street, P.O. Drawer 368, Farmville, Virginia 23901 on or prior to August, 28, 2017. If a request for a public hearing is received, notice of the date, time and place of the hearing will be posted.
In compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and 36 CFR Part 800, information concerning the potential effects of the proposed project on properties in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places is proposed in the environmental documentation.
