On Friday, April 24th the Governor of Virginia postponed the May Town Elections until May 19, 2020. Polls will open at 6:00 am -7:00 pm

For your safety and to minimize risk of exposure to Covid -19 (corona virus), the Department of Elections announced Monday that all Town of Farmville voters may cast absentee ballots in the May 19th Town Election. ALL voters are encouraged to request and vote an absentee ballot by-mail. Any qualified voter may request an absentee ballot using Reason Code “2A my disability or illness”. Voters who choose the absentee option should do so as soon as possible so they can get their ballots in time to return them by Election Day.

In Person Voting
Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (March 20-May 15)
Saturday May 16, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 16, 2020 is the Final day to vote IN -Person at the Prince Edward Co. Elections Office before Election day.

As a service to our citizens, we are offering curbside absentee voting at the Prince Edward County Courthouse located at 124 N. Main St., Floor 2, Farmville, Va. 23901 thru Saturday, May 16, 2020.Once you arrive you will need to call us at 434-392-4767 and let us know you are here and we will gladly come to your vehicle with the necessary forms for you to absentee vote.

Deadlines :
May 12, 2020 -Last day to request an absentee ballot by mail,
Application must be received in office by 5:00 pm.
May 16, 2020 – Last day for IN-Person Absentee 8:30-4:30 pm.
May 19, 2020 – Election Day -All mail in ballots have to be returned by 7:00 pm.

TOWN OF FARMVILLE | VOTER REGISTRATION & ELECTION INFORMATION

Tuesday, May 19, 2020 | General Election

 All Wards will vote for one At Large Member of Town Council.  Wards D and E will also vote for one Member of Town Council to represent their Ward. You do not have to reregister if your current information is correct.

The Voter Registration Office is located on the second floor of The Prince Edward County Courthouse and is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

IN-PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING

Monday – Friday (March 20 – May 15): 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 16, 2020: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 16, 2020 is the final day to vote an IN-PERSON absentee ballot at the Prince Edward County Voter Registration and Elections Office.

ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL

Absentee Ballot Applications requesting a ballot by MAIL must be received in the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12th. Applications to register to vote and absentee applications are available online at www.elections.virginia.gov.

Virginia Voters are reminded that state law requires all voters to provide an acceptable form of Photo ID at the polls.

ALL voted mail -in ballots must be received May 19, 2020 by 7 p.m.
