Live At Riverside
Live At Riverside is a concert series held the first Friday of each month, May through October. Riverside Park in Farmville is the venue for this community gathering of good music, food and friends. Children’s activities are also available to entertain the little ones. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Downtown Stage Productions
This event brings classic movies to Farmville each summer at the Historic Crute Stage (corner of Fourth and Main Streets). One Friday evening each month, you can enjoy watching a movie under the stars. Bring your chair, blanket and your friends. Popcorn and other refreshments are available.
The Farmville Christmas Show
The Christmas Show is a showcase of over 50 crafters and artisans from all over the region. It is a wonderful way to begin the holiday shopping season. The show is held in November each year. For more information, click here or contact STEPS, Inc. at 434-315-5909.
The Farmville Jaycees Christmas Parade
The Christmas Parade is held on the first Sunday afternoon in December in downtown Farmville. Marching bands, floats, beauty queens, classic cars and Santa Claus all gather to parade down Main Street in honor of the holiday season. The Five County Fair
The Five County Fair hosts the best of our area’s agriculture and entertainment in September of each year. Rides, games, animals, music and a demolition derby are just a few of the activities awaiting you. The event is held at the Five County Fairgrounds, just west of Farmville on Fairgrounds Road.
Virginia Children’s Book FestivalÂ
The Virginia Children’s Book Festival will bring together prominent children’s authors and illustrators and the general public in an annual event designed to foster the enjoyment of children’s literature.
The Virginia Children’s Book Festival will be available to the public without an entrance fee. Children, parents, grandparents, book collectors, and interested members of the public are welcome to attend.
