The Town of Farmville, Virginia, is requesting bids from qualified vendors to complete a traffic signal preemption project for the Farmville Fire Department. With a remote, the operator will be able to press a button which will signal an antenna located in front of the fire station.  This will send a signal to the traffic signal at Third/Oak for preemption as well as a signal west of the station to a flashing warning light.  This project is to allow for safe departure from the station during an emergency response.
