THE BIG EVENT - Longwood University students will be heading into the Town of Farmville to perform community service for those in need.  The event will be held on April 2nd and is open to town residents, local businesses and public sites within a 10 mile radius of Longwood's campus. Longwood University to Host 2016 Vice-Presidential Debate

The Commission on Presidential Debates has named Longwood University to host the single vice‑presidential debate for the 2016 election.  The debate will be televised for America and the world to view from Willett Hall on October 4, 2016.  Longwood University's website will serve as a special resource for Debate 2016.


  INFORMATION AND UPDATES:    

  • The regular Town Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber on the second floor of the Farmville Town Hall, at 116 North Main Street, Farmville, Virginia. Town Council members gather for dinner in the Town Manager's Conference Room at 5:30 p.m., prior to each regularly scheduled Council meeting.     The Regular Council Work Sessions are held the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 a.m., in the Town Manager's Conference Room.
