 Local Artists Wanted

During the month of December, the Executive Mansion welcomes thousands of visitors who come to see Virginia’s historic “first house” decked out in its holiday décor. This year, the theme of that décor will be “Celebrating Virginia’s Localities”, by featuring handmade ornaments from each county, city and town in Virginia. The handmade ornaments will be on display on the large tree in the mansion’s ballroom.

We are looking for local artisans interested in submitting a holiday ornament highlighting the uniqueness of the Town of Farmville. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. The deadline for submitting an ornament is September 30, 2015. For a complete list of “ornament guidelines”, click here.
