Longwood University to Host
2016 Vice-Presidential Debate
The Commission on Presidential Debates has named Longwood University to host the single vice‑presidential debate for the 2016 election. The debate will be televised for America and the world to view from Willett Hall on October 4, 2016. Longwood University's website will serve as a special resource for Debate 2016.
- Leaf Collection - Starting Wednesday, November 4th and running through December 22nd, the Town of Farmville will operate its vacuum service leaf collection. Before and after these dates, leaves must be bagged and called in (392-3331) for regular Monday pickups. Click here to more details and to view leaf collection map.
- The regular Town Council Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber on the second floor of the Farmville Town Hall, at 116 North Main Street, Farmville, Virginia. Town Council members gather for dinner in the Town Manager's Conference Room at 5:30 p.m., prior to each regularly scheduled Council meeting. The Regular Council Work Sessions are held the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 a.m., in the Town Manager's Conference Room.
