Farmville Community Marketplace
The Farmville Community Marketplace is located in downtown Farmville at 213 North Street and will be the perfect place to pick up locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats homebaked goods, handcrafted goods and more. The Marketplace will operate on Saturdays, rain or shine, April 23rd through October; Hours of operations are 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The Commission on Presidential Debates has named Longwood University to host the single vice‑presidential debate for the 2016 election. The debate will be televised for America and the world to view from Willett Hall on October 4, 2016. Longwood University's website will serve as a special resource for Debate 2016.
- The regular Town Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber on the second floor of the Farmville Town Hall, at 116 North Main Street, Farmville, Virginia. Town Council members gather for dinner in the Town Manager's Conference Room at 5:30 p.m., prior to each regularly scheduled Council meeting.
